Catching Up with CEMSies: Haizea Fidalgo Juaristi with Gartner

Many CEMS graduates have chosen to work with CEMS Corporate Partners. In this interview series, we investigate how they have been doing. Today, we catch up with  Haizea Fidalgo Juaristi  who did her programme with the University of Economics, Prague and Louvain School of Management. She completed a summer internship with Gartner in 2016 and will be joining them as an Account Manager SMB Europe this summer.

The 2017 CEMS V4 Conference – Human Behaviours & Biases

From 5 to 8 April 2017, the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) hosted the CEMS V4 Conference. The Conference, organised by CEMS Club Prague in cooperation with strategic partners Google, L’Oréal and Unibail-Rodamco and the support of conference partners Hilti, PwC and Škoda, dived into the topic of behavioural economics.

Adapting to new cultures and speaking foreign languages are the two biggest barriers for employees wanting to work abroad, survey of HR managers finds

92% of undergraduates surveyed by Universum and CEMS say they are keen to work abroad in the early stages of their career

Yet there are clearly obstacles, as only one in five (19%) of HR managers rate the geographic mobility of their young employees as strong

87% of HR managers believe speaking more than one language is important for future employability, while 89% of undergraduates agree

New research has found that HR managers see adapting to new cultures and speaking foreign languages as the two biggest barriers for employees wanting to work abroad.

CEMS Club Presidents Conference: Spring Semester 2017

In early March, the CEMS Club Support Team and the Student Board held the 7th Biannual CEMS Club Conference (CCC) in Warsaw at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The CCC is an event that was suggested by CEMS Club Presidents and was created with the aim of increasing the performance of Presidents and their CEMS Clubs by sharing best practices. It is a useful platform to meet and discuss common issues with other presidents while creating new relationships and a more cooperative environment across the CEMS Clubs.

CEMS Student Board Meeting at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE)

The CEMS Student Board held its first meeting of the year 2017 at the University of Economics, Prague (VŠE)  from March 31st to April 4th. The Student Board meetings are very important, as these are usually the only time the team members are able to be in the same room together. The meetings are usually also joined by the CEMS head office to work alongside the teams to improve the CEMS Alliance and the CEMS experience.
