CEMS students voted for their choice of the exclusive CEMS Course of the Year as the Multinational Financial Management taught at WU. The increasing globalization and integration of goods markets, as well as financial markets, has substantially increased the importance of foreign real operations and foreign financial operations of multinational firms. Understanding the international dimension of financial management is relevant for key tasks in multinational firms such as risk management, financing the firm and determining the cost of capital as well as capital budgeting. CEMS sat down with Professor Christian Wagner who is teaching the course at WU to learn more.
The course is structured in two parts. In the first part, I teach students the basics of international financial markets, in particular currency markets, and financial instruments.
