In the first week of June, the first ever digital CEMS DACH Forum was hosted by the University of Cologne. For four days, 40 motivated CEMSies from 10 different CEMS universities discussed the topic “Naturally Profitable: Strategies in the Face of Climate Change” in lectures and workshops with corporate partners.

Today, let us introduce Chunyang Bai (Haru), a current CEMS student from China. Haru’s home university is Keio University, Japan, and he went on exchange to University of St. Gallen, Switzerland in Fall 2019. As a former TV journalist, Haru had a chance to work for a project that was filming the documentary for Tokyo Olympics 2020. In today’s episode, Haru is going to tell us his personal story of how he managed his way from China to Japan and his experience of working for Tokyo 2020 during the pandemic.

Today, in our series Humans of CEMS, we would like to introduce Elina, from Aalto University, who is currently working at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the UN. What was supposed to be an internship focusing on International Labour Organisation turned out to be one exciting journey throughout the international governance crisis management of COVID-19. She had the incredible chance to look behind the scenes of how major decisions were made and the crisis was handled and is taking us a little bit through the exciting journey she had in the past few months.
