CEMS Student Board's Meeting at IIMC in Kolkata India

The CEMS Student Board held its second meeting of the year 2016 at The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) from September 23.-27. The Student Board meetings are highly valuable for the projects, as these are usually the only time the team members are able to be in the same room together. The meetings are usually also joined by the CEMS head office to work alongside the teams to improve the CEMS alliance and the CEMS experience.

Beyond the Classroom

Whenever CEMS Students Gather, Something Special Happens

‘It’s the atmosphere. It’s hard to explain, but whenever CEMS students gather, something special happens. You could almost compare it to the buzz around startups. Things happen, thoughts are exchanged. Value in Diversity

Bringing Theory to Life

Founded in 1910 and headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, KONE is one of the largest manufacturers of elevators and escalators worldwide, and also provides maintenance services and modernization. In addition, KONE builds and services automatic doors and gates. Last Spring, CEMS students at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) had the unique opportunity to work with KONE to build upon their academic knowledge in a professional setting. For a company like KONE, it allowed them to benefit from a focused look at a business case by a multinational group of highly talented students.

The Outlook of a Start-up in China

Tsinghua Unigroup is a leading IT company in China and joined CEMS global alliance as a corporate partner in May, 2016. To help CEMS students, both incoming and local, get better understanding of Chinese business environment, Tsinghua MiM office organized a company visit to Unigroup as a part of the block seminar. 

With great support from our new Corporate Partner, the company visit to Tsinghua Unigroup’s offices took place on the 6th September and was appreciated by all visiting students and faculties.
